You should definitely check out the museum at Nathan Hale they got some great artifacts that a couple of metal detectorists have gave them plus other things they have gotten it's a great experience
Visited during advertised open hours. All locked up with no one to be found. Disappointing.
This place was locked when we got here. Their hours said they would be open online, but they weren't and neither was the Strong Homestead. When we called, the recording was for May hours of operation, it is now November. If I hadn't have driven an hour to be here, I wouldn't be so upset, but alas, I did. My advice is to call first.
Great farmers market.
The Nathan Hale Homestead is situated in a beautiful setting in rural Coventry. The grounds are a great place to visit any time of year and they are home to the Coventry Farmers Market held seasonally on Sundays from 10am to 2pm. The Farmers Market has been voted as 'best in Connecticut' by Yankee Magazine. The house was completed in 1776 and contains many Hale artifacts including Nathan's gun and his buckskin covered trunk. The Connecticut Antiquarian Society has done a marvelous Jon maintaining this beautiful property.
